Ever been sitting in your living room, mom or dad walks in and out of nowhere you hear ” so what do you plan to do when you grow up?”. Some of us might respond with a complete blank stare or others might have it already planned out. The rest of us might have a gazillion ideas running through our minds but have no idea which route we intend to take once we graduate.
I am in between the “already planned out” and “gazillion ideas” stage. I know I want to pursue a career in social media and videography but how that plays out is not yet known. The reality is this – we just don’t know what the future holds. Anything can happen and we need to be flexible! What we love today might not be something we hold dear to our hearts next year and guess what ? That’s OK. In fact, its completely normal.
How are we, teenagers changing day by day, supposed to have it all figured out by now? If you do, congrats. If you don’t, welcome to norm. Don’t stress about it. Stressing won’t get you anywhere. Finding out what you are good at, and chasing that is your best bet. You might find out you are good at a lot of things but that one thing that makes you the happiest might be the ticket to a golden future.
Everything takes hard work. That’s not just some lame cliche saying; it’s reality. If I have learned anything so far in my life, you need to learn how to hustle. We toss that word around a lot (same as grinding) but what it really means is to never, ever stop moving! Greet each and every day with energy and determination. Consistently keep moving forward, even when you hit rejection and setbacks. Put yourself on the line, give it your all, engage, communicate and don’t look back!
I want to run my own business so being an entrepreneur is a scary but exciting path to take. Will I go to college? Uni ? Right now, not sure. The road has many twists and turns – we will have to wait and see.
